How We Disclose Information
We may disclose personal information to the following categories of recipients as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy:
- Service providers that help us operate our website, email program, analytics, hosting, cloud storage, payment processing, podcast or video distribution, customer support, scheduling, marketing, security, or other business functions.

- Affiliates or subsidiaries, if any, consistent with this Policy.
- Other parties when you direct us to disclose information or provide your consent.
We do not sell personal information for money. If our practices in the future constitute "selling," "sharing," or targeted advertising under an applicable privacy law, we will provide the notices and choices required by that law.
Cookies, Analytics, and Similar Technologies
We and our service providers may use cookies, pixels, analytics tools, and similar technologies to operate the website, remember preferences, understand website and email engagement, measure performance, improve the Services, and support marketing activities.
Depending on the tools we use and your jurisdiction, certain technologies may require your consent. Where required, we will provide an appropriate mechanism for managing those preferences.
You can also control certain cookies through your browser or device settings. Disabling cookies may affect the functionality of some portions of the Services.
If Midstride uses interest-based or targeted advertising in the future, additional choices or disclosures may apply.
Third-Party Websites and Platforms
The Services may contain links to or integrations with third-party websites, podcast platforms, video platforms, social media services, payment processors, scheduling tools, or other services. Midstride does not control the privacy practices of those third parties.
When you leave our website or use a third-party service, your information may be governed by that third party's privacy policy and terms. We encourage you to review those policies.
Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.
However, no website, email transmission, information system, or method of electronic storage is completely secure. We therefore cannot guarantee absolute security.
Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, including to provide the Services, maintain business and transaction records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and protect our rights.
Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information, the nature of our relationship with you, and applicable legal requirements.
Your Privacy Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live and subject to applicable law, you may have rights regarding your personal information, which may include the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information; obtain a copy of certain personal information; withdraw consent where processing is based on consent; object to or restrict certain processing; or opt out of certain uses or disclosures.
These rights are not absolute and may be subject to legal exceptions.
To submit a privacy request, contact us at hello@midstride.us. We may need to verify your identity before completing certain requests. Where permitted by law, you may also use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf.
We will not discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights provided by applicable law.
State-Specific Privacy Rights
Residents of certain U.S. states may have additional privacy rights under applicable state law. If a state privacy law applies to Midstride and to your personal information, we will honor the rights and obligations required by that law.
Because privacy laws and applicability thresholds may change, we may update this Policy or provide supplemental state-specific notices as Midstride grows or our data practices change.
International Users and Data Transfers
Midstride is based in the United States. If you access the Services from outside the United States, your personal information may be transferred to, stored in, or processed in the United States or other countries where we or our service providers operate.
Those countries may have privacy laws that differ from the laws in your country. Where required by applicable law, we will use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.
Children's Privacy
The Services are intended for a general audience and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the Services.
If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information to us, please contact hello@midstride.us so that we can take appropriate action.
Health Information
Midstride is a media and educational company and is not a healthcare provider through the Services covered by this Policy. The general Midstride website, newsletter, podcast, and related communications are not intended to serve as channels for clinical care or the transmission of medical records.
Please do not submit sensitive health information through general contact forms, newsletter replies, social media messages, or other non-clinical channels. If you are a patient of a healthcare practice with which a Midstride founder, guest, or contributor is affiliated, that healthcare relationship and the handling of your medical information are separate from Midstride and are governed by the applicable healthcare provider's privacy practices.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Controls
Some browsers offer "Do Not Track" signals, and certain technologies may transmit privacy preference signals such as Global Privacy Control. Because standards and legal requirements for these signals continue to evolve, our response may depend on the technologies we use and applicable law.
Where applicable law requires us to recognize a legally valid opt-out preference signal, we will do so as required.
Changes to This Policy
We may modify this Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted with a revised "Last Updated" date. If required by law, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent before material changes take effect.
